Five Paragraph Essay Sample

How many fingers on the human hand? The answer is five. And how many paragraphs has a good essay? The answer is the same. It is given us by the nature and we may enjoy the most comfortable and original scheme of essay writing.

Five paragraph essay sample is a classic format, of course, there are some other formats, but this one is used more frequent. Let’s start developing your composition skills and discussing some moments.

Five paragraph essay sample consists of the Introduction, the Body Parts and the Conclusion. The Body parts are three paragraphs. It would be useful if we consider all of them in detail:

  1. Introduction: this part of essay should involve readers in the content of the whole essay. Do an impressing beginning by using anecdote, memory or telling a situation. Then move to the thesis sentence. Here you should express your ideas, which are discussed in the essay. Tell them in the order they are discussed in the further text. This first paragraph should end with a linking sentence, which leads readers to the first body part.
  2. First Body Part: begin this part with the sentence which responds to the final sentence of the introductory part. Also here you must give your first main point of discussion and example of it. Then the topic of this part follows in the second or third sentence. Do not forget about the tie of this sentence with the thesis sentence in the introductory part. The last sentence is a transitional movement to the second body part.
  3. Second Body Part: in the first sentence you must give your second main point of discussion and example of it. Also make it correspond to the final sentence of the first body part. Then the topic of this part follows in the second or third sentence. Tie this sentence with the thesis sentence in the introductory part. The last sentence is a transitional movement to the third body part.
  4. Third Body Part: in the first sentence you must give your third main point of discussion and example of it. Make it correspond to the final sentence of the second body part. Then the topic of this part should follow in the second or third sentence. Tie this sentence with the thesis sentence in the introductory part. The last sentence is a transitional movement to the concluding part.
  5. Conclusion: restate the main ideas of the thesis sentence, summarize all three points of discussion, give a memorable last sentence (here you can call somebody to do something or offer some solutions to the given problem).
